Advice from Peter on cleaning your dress shirts

You just picked up your new dress shirts and  wonder if you can wear them right away or do they need to be laundered first. The answer is yes, you can. However, I highly recommend you have your shirts laundered (and not dry cleaned) before ever wearing them. Dry cleaning will weaken the fabric fibers, and the chemicals could give your shirt a yellow tint known as “ring around the collar.” Starch will lessens the lifespan of a shirt.

It’s a better investment to get your dress shirts laundered before you wear them. Or, DIY… machine-wash, hang-dry and hand-iron.

Your shirts will look better and last longer, if you follow this advice.

Spring Cleaning = Reevaluate Your Style, Image & Wardrobe

Spring is finally here! I encourage you to reevaluate your personal style and image as we enter the new season. Are your clothes portraying how you want to be perceived? This is a great season to make any necessary changes to your wardrobe that will enhance your image and professional appearance.

Spring is the perfect time to introduce the trending colors of the season into your wardrobe. A subtle way to do it is to have splashes of color interwoven into your ties, pocket squares, dress shirts and hosiery. Your tailor can help you to achieve the perfect look through color.

Colors you’ll want to rock this season are apricot, yellow, lavender, lime, orange, plum and mint green.
